See every venue in the network on one screen

The Franchise view in Orbit OS puts every venue in a hospitality franchise network on one screen — company-run and franchisee-operated — with its ownership, its operator, what it shares and its figures for the period, in the same shell head office uses for its own stores.

The Franchise view in Orbit OS listing every store in a demo network with its ownership, operator, connection and visibility, for the fictional Brunswick Hospitality Co demo business

The Franchise view, Stores tab, on a demo business whose three stores are company-owned. Fictional names.

The problem

Head office learns how a venue is running from a phone call, a spreadsheet or the monthly P&L — late, and differently for every owner.

What head office sees

Every store with its ownership, operator and connection; labour, sales, attendance and workforce figures for the period, by store, including franchised stores that share them.

What it can do

Filters by ownership or store, changes the period, opens a store’s roster or timesheet totals read-only, exports the analytics.

The outcome

One picture of the network each week, without asking each owner for a report and without any owner seeing another owner’s stores.

Who does what

Head office sets it. The store runs it.

What head office controls

  • Sees every store on one screen — company-run and franchisee-operated — with its ownership, its operator and what it shares on each row.
  • Opens a franchised store’s roster and timesheet totals read-only: names, positions and times, never pay.
  • Compares performance, labour and staffing, workforce and standards across stores for any period, and exports the result.
  • Keeps the pre-handover weeks of a store it used to run, and only those.

What the franchisee manages

  • Runs their own store, team and payroll in their own Orbit workspace.
  • Chooses what the network sees — sales, labour, attendance, standards. All four are on by default; only the franchisee narrows them, and one always stays on.
  • Never sees another franchisee’s data.

The workflow

How it works, step by step.

  1. Connect the store

Head office invites the franchisee. They accept inside their own Orbit workspace, name the stores and the date reporting starts, and head office approves once the business checks pass.

  2. Open the Franchise view

Every store — company or franchisee — on one screen with its ownership, connection and figures for the period.

  3. Drill into a venue

A franchised store opens like an own store: its roster and its timesheet totals, read-only over the network connection.

  4. Compare over a period

The Analytics tab compares performance, labour and staffing, workforce and standards across stores for the weeks chosen. Sales need a point-of-sale connection; dollar figures need the viewer’s wage or revenue permission.

Questions

Asked before a demo.

  • Can a franchisor see a franchisee’s store without logging into the franchisee’s account?

Yes. The franchisee accepts a connection from their own workspace. From then on head office sees that store in its Franchise view, read-only, with what the franchisee has agreed to share.

  • What does head office see if a franchisee narrows sharing?

Only the categories left on: sales, labour, attendance, standards. All four are on when a connection starts, and at least one always stays on.

  • Does the Franchise view need a point-of-sale connection?

Only for sales and labour percentage. Labour cost and hours, attendance and workforce come from rosters and timesheets and show without a POS.
